Here is how we, as local hosts, get around, so you can settle in quickly and spend less time worrying about transport. Ride apps and taxis Careem and Uber are the easiest way to get around Amman. Both are affordable, cashless if you prefer, and they show your route and fare before you ride, which takes the guesswork out of a new city. Careem is especially popular locally and tends to have a lot of cars on the road, so wait times in the western neighbourhoods are usually short. Yellow street taxis are everywhere too, and they are a fine option, especially if you are out and about and want a quick ride. The one habit worth keeping is simple: ask the driver for the meter when you get in. Most drivers are happy to use it. If you would rather skip the conversation entirely, a ride app keeps everything clear and agreed in advance. The bus and BRT, honestly Amman has a city bus network and a newer Bus Rapid Transit system (the BRT) that runs along dedicated lanes on some of the main corridors. The BRT is genuinely useful along the routes it covers and can be a smooth way to skip traffic, but coverage does not reach every neighbourhood, and signage and schedules are not always tourist friendly.   A: Yes, and for annual contracts it is the only way we do it. We own and operate the apartments ourselves. Short stays are booked through Airbnb because that is where short-stay guests are, but a year-long lease is arranged straight with us.
- Q: Is an annual lease cheaper than paying monthly for a year?
  A: Yes. A twelve-month commitment removes the vacancy risk we price into short and monthly stays, and there is no platform commission. Ask for terms on the specific apartment and dates and we will give you the number.
- Q: Are the apartments furnished?
  A: Fully. Furniture, appliances, kitchen equipment, linen and working internet. You can move in with suitcases. If you are bringing your own furniture for a long posting, tell us — some units can be let unfurnished or partly furnished.
- Q: Which neighbourhoods do you cover?
  A: West Amman: Abdoun, Deir Ghbar, Jabal Amman, Um Uthaina and the surrounding districts. These are the areas closest to the embassies, the international schools and the main business districts.
- Q: Can I view before signing if I am not in Jordan yet?
  A: Yes. We do video walkthroughs for people relocating from abroad, and we will show you the actual unit rather than a similar one. If you would rather see it in person first, a short stay before committing to a year is completely reasonable.
